Heartstitch Keepsakes 🧸
Each Heartstitch Keepsake Cushion is lovingly handcrafted from clothing or fabric that holds precious memories. Whether it’s a baby onesie, a favourite shirt, a dress, or another special piece, your keepsake cushion will capture those moments in a beautiful heirloom you can treasure for years to come.
These keepsakes are meant as display pieces only and are not suitable as toys.
Before You Order

The cost of postage to send your clothing to me is not included in the price and is the buyer’s responsibility.

Please check postage costs to West Hoxton, Sydney, NSW 2171 before placing your order, as I cannot offer cancellations or refunds once an order has been placed.

I will contact you directly after your purchase with all details (including where to send your clothing).
How It Works

Place your order through my website (or Etsy).

You’ll receive an email/message from me with instructions and my address.

I’ll ask for photos of the clothing you’d like me to use, to confirm the fabrics are suitable before you post them.

Once your parcel arrives, your clothing will be carefully labelled and stored until I begin work on your cushion.
How long does it take? ⏱
Please allow 2 - 3 weeks for a cushion, and 6 - 8 weeks for a bear, from when I receive your clothing.

How Much Fabric Do I Need? ✂️
FOR A CUSHION:
Each cushion requires two fabric panels measuring 17 inches x 17 inches (43 cm x 43 cm) — one for the front and one for the back.

A single large shirt, jumper, or dress usually provides enough fabric, as you can use both the front and back of the garment.

Please do not send just a single square of fabric measuring 17" x 17". I need enough material for both sides of the cushion.

I can incorporate features such as zippers, buttons, or prints into the design, but the clothing you send must have enough fabric to create two full panels (typically taken from both the front and back of a shirt, jumper, or similar item).

If you are unsure whether your fabric is big enough, feel free to reach out to me before posting your item to me. (I will request a photo of the materials before posting either way! :D)
FOR A BEAR:

For a bear: at least 6 baby clothing items OR 1 adult shirt (or the equivalent in fabric).
What fabrics can I use? 🧵
Most fabrics are suitable! Popular choices are cotton and t-shirt jersey.
What if I don’t have enough fabric? 🤔
That’s fine! I can supplement with fabrics from my collection, or we can choose something together (e.g. sports team colours, florals, or themed prints). Extra charges may apply.
How do I get my items to you? 📦
You can either post them or drop them off in person (West Hoxton, NSW).
What happens to my items? 🧺
I know how much trust it takes to send such meaningful pieces. Your items are kept safe in labelled fabric storage until I begin. Most materials are reinforced with interfacing for durability (except denim, thick cotton, or chunky knits). From there, I cut, sew, and shape them into your keepsake cushion, ready to return home.
⚠️ Please wash items before sending. I do not wash them once they arrive.
Rush Orders 🎄
Rush orders aren’t available at this stage. However, cushions made for Angel Baby families or young children who have lost a parent will always be prioritised.
Can I pick up my order? 📬
Yes, local pickup is welcome. If you choose pickup, any postage fee you’ve already paid will be refunded.
Do you make quilts or blankets? 🛏
Not yet — but it’s something I hope to offer in the future!
